Roma jewelry week
We are thrilled to be part of the captivating Jewelry Week 2023 in Rome, where we are participating in a competition centered around the intriguing theme of "second life" — whether as an alternate reality or the ability to breathe new life into objects.
Our entry, "Resilient Beauty," takes inspiration from kintsugi, an ancient Japanese art form symbolizing the rejuvenation of broken objects. This technique involves repairing pottery with lacquer and gold powder, symbolizing healing and transformation into something extraordinary.
The event unfolds in various forms and locations, including historic buildings and exhibitions scattered throughout Rome. It features artistic performances, interviews, and discussions. The judging panel includes members of the press, figures from the fashion industry, and select designers.
"Resilient Beauty" is crafted from sterling silver 925, employing the kintsugi technique with gold powder and epoxy resin. Additionally, it incorporates Citrine, Rubellite, and Amethyst gemstones, combining traditional techniques with modern 3D Rhino technology.
